Ma'at
Ma’at was the goddess of truth, balance and order, guiding the ancient Egyptians’ strong sense of morality and justice. According to mythology, after their death, everyone had to pass through the Hall of Judgment, where one’s heart was weighed on a scale against Ma’at’s feather of truth. If their heart balanced with the feather, they continued their journey to the Afterlife.
